Today we chat with Tribal Theory! Founded in 2005 in San Diego, California, Tribal Theory creates and performs their own brand of urban reggae and feel good island music. We recorded this episode from their green room at the House of Blues where they were headlining an all-star line up with CRSB, Bo Napoleon and Eli-Mac. Such a friendly and gracious group of guys, it was really great getting to know them, hearing the story of how the band got started, their song writing process and the delicate art of "rubber-necking!"

As always, I hope you enjoy listening to this episode as much as we did bringing it to you. If you enjoyed this episode, I'd like to invite you to subscribe to the podcast. On this episode we chat with Spike Marble and Timothy Haack. Spike, Tim, a handful of others and I were once part of a group of Monday regulars at Don the Beachcomber, coming in every Monday night, for years, to enjoy their all night happy hour. In addition to patronizing the Dagger Bar every Monday, we enjoyed countless numbers of shows and events within that historic building, going back a couple decades to when it was Sam's Seafood. We recorded this episode from their Hidden Village back room in their final weeks to share stories about some of our favorite memories in this grand building.

I'd like to dedicate this episode to Chris Bonomo and Lost in Paradise. Chris was and is a driving influence to me and this podcast and if it wasn't for him, I probably wouldn't be doing this. I've worked with Chris on hosting and co-hosting a couple episodes of Lost in Paradise over the years and it's because of those experiences that I was inspired to try something creative for myself. Chris is awesome at what he does and I hope to someday be half as good as he is. So thank you, aloha and mahalo to Chris at Lost in Paradise!

Let me start by apologizing for what you are about to hear! On this episode, we celebrate St Patrick's Day! We had our Irish friends Rick Miller, Dave McNeely aka McBiff and Dan Watson join us in the Desert Oasis Room to drink copious amounts of Irish Whiskey and Green Beer, as one does on St Patrick's Day! Rick and Dan even dressed for the occasion by wearing their kilts and family tartans! As you will hear, we had a fun time recording this episode as we slowly progressed into a drunken mess by the end of the day!

As always, I hope you enjoy listening to this episode as much as we did bringing it to you. On this episode we make a field trip to Tiki Ko. Located in Bakersfield, California, Tiki Ko is the creation of Roy and Sonya Scarazzo to fulfill a dream of owning and operating their very own tiki bar. For our session we are joined by their staff, bar manager Freddy Lwin and drink developers Corey Juarez and Gabby Osdale. This was a FUN episode to record and I can't emphasize how much this crew made me feel like one of their own. If you ever find yourself in Bakersfield, California make sure you stop in and give these guys a visit. You won't regret it.

On this episode we chat with Dog Davis. Dog Davis is one of my buddies in the tiki and cocktail community who I largely consider an expert and purveyor of these cultures. He's a really fascinating guy having done some really interesting things in his life. For example, he once wrote a food column for the LA Times, was once self employed as a professional gambler and today works in the entertainment industry right here in Hollywood, California.
